The Trans-Dapt 2176 Air Cleaner Adapter Ring provides a practical connection between a 2-5/8 in air cleaner and a 5-1/8 in carburetor flange. It is designed to help adapt mismatched air intake components for a cleaner, more straightforward installation on compatible carbureted applications. This adapter is a useful solution for custom intake setups, replacement projects, and performance-oriented engine builds where component compatibility is essential.
Constructed from durable plastic with a black finish, the Trans-Dapt 2176 adapter offers a lightweight alternative to metal adapter rings while providing dependable service in the air cleaner assembly. Its compact profile helps maintain clearance around the carburetor and surrounding engine components. The 0.75 in height supports a close-fitting installation without adding unnecessary bulk to the intake system.
The adapter is intended for use with air cleaners featuring a 2-5/8 in opening and carburetors equipped with a 5-1/8 in flange. Verify the air cleaner opening, carburetor flange, mounting arrangement, and surrounding clearance before installation to ensure proper fitment. Supplied as one adapter ring, the Trans-Dapt Part Number 2176 is suited for automotive enthusiasts, restoration work, and custom engine applications requiring a reliable air cleaner-to-carburetor transition.
