FRAM Extra Guard Oil Filter — PH3980

The FRAM Extra Guard PH3980 is a full-flow spin-on oil filter with an M18x1.5 metric thread. It is designed for 1986 and newer GM V6 and V8 engines — most commonly found in GM trucks, vans, and SUVs equipped with the 4.3L V6, and select V8 applications. It is also cross-referenced for use on certain Volvo and Caterpillar applications.

Fitment

Primary Application: 1986+ GM V6 and V8 engines with metric M18x1.5 oil filter thread — including Chevrolet, GMC, and Buick vehicles. Commonly used on 4.3L V6 trucks and SUVs.
