The BILSTEIN 24-296885 SMX Series shock absorber is designed for rear applications on GM A-Body, F-Body, and G-Body vehicles. This motorsports-focused shock uses a monotube internal design with a steel body and black-painted finish.

Its stock-mount smooth-body design features an eye lower mount and bar-pin upper mount. The shock uses a linear piston and provides non-adjustable damping, with compression and rebound values of 175 and 275 at 10 inches per second, respectively.

The 24-296885 has a 12.95-inch collapsed length, a 21.02-inch extended length, and 8.07 inches of stroke or travel. It includes no spring seat or boot. This shock is sold individually.
