Wilson Manifolds

Wilson Manifolds — CNC-Ported Intake Manifolds, Throttle Bodies & Spacers for Race & High-Performance Engines

Wilson Manifolds has been engineering and manufacturing CNC-ported intake manifolds, throttle bodies, and plenum spacers for the professional racing and high-performance aftermarket since 1983, building a reputation on precision airflow work that delivers measurable power gains on supercharged, turbocharged, and naturally aspirated race engines. When professional racing teams and serious engine builders need maximum airflow from their induction system, Wilson Manifolds is the name they turn to — with decades of CNC porting expertise and flow bench validation behind every product in the lineup.

CNC-Ported Intake Manifolds

Wilson Manifolds' CNC-ported intake manifolds are the core of the product lineup, providing precision-machined intake ports, plenum volumes, and runner dimensions that maximize airflow and charge distribution for each specific engine application. CNC porting removes the casting flash, dimensional inconsistencies, and flow restrictions present in as-cast intake manifolds, producing a consistent, optimized port shape that flows significantly more air than the unported casting.

Wilson produces CNC-ported manifolds for GM LS and LT, Chevrolet Big Block, Ford Coyote and Modular, and a range of additional domestic V8 applications in both naturally aspirated and forced induction configurations. Supercharged applications receive specific plenum and port geometry optimized for the pressure differential and airflow characteristics of positive displacement and centrifugal supercharger systems, where the induction system requirements differ significantly from naturally aspirated applications.

Throttle Bodies

Wilson Manifolds produces CNC-machined throttle bodies in larger bore diameters than factory units for applications where the OEM throttle body is a flow restriction at high power levels. Larger throttle body bore diameter reduces the pressure drop across the throttle plate at wide-open throttle, allowing more air to reach the intake manifold and increasing the power ceiling of the induction system. Wilson throttle bodies are available for GM LS and LT, Ford Coyote, and other popular EFI applications with correct bolt pattern and sensor provisions for direct installation on supported intake manifolds.

CNC-machined throttle body bores provide a consistent, smooth interior surface that minimizes turbulence at the throttle plate and in the bore downstream of the plate — improving airflow quality as well as quantity compared to cast throttle bodies with rough interior surfaces.

Plenum Spacers & Elbow Spacers

Wilson Manifolds plenum spacers and elbow spacers are one of the most cost-effective power additions available for supercharged and naturally aspirated EFI applications, increasing plenum volume and improving airflow distribution to the intake runners without replacing the entire intake manifold. Spacers are available in multiple thicknesses to provide different levels of plenum volume increase, with CNC-machined interior profiles that improve airflow through the spacer rather than simply adding volume.

Elbow spacers for supercharged applications address the airflow transition from the supercharger outlet to the intake manifold inlet, smoothing the direction change and reducing the turbulence that costs power in this critical transition zone. Wilson's elbow spacers are flow-bench developed for each specific supercharger and manifold combination to ensure the spacer geometry improves rather than restricts airflow.

Common Applications

Wilson Manifolds products are used across professional drag racing, road course racing, circle track, and high-performance street applications. GM LS and LT engine applications are the most extensively covered platform in the Wilson lineup, with CNC-ported manifolds, throttle bodies, and spacers available for the full range of LS and LT induction systems used in factory and aftermarket configurations. Supercharged applications — including Magnuson, Edelbrock, Whipple, and Roush supercharger systems — are a primary focus, with Wilson products engineered to maximize the power output of each specific supercharger and engine combination.

Flow Bench Development & Validation

Every Wilson Manifolds product is developed and validated on the flow bench before release, with airflow measurements at multiple test pressures to quantify the improvement over the baseline casting or OEM component. Flow bench data provides an objective measurement of the airflow improvement delivered by each Wilson product — not a claimed improvement based on dyno testing variables, but a direct measurement of the airflow capacity of the component itself. This flow bench validation is the foundation of Wilson's engineering credibility and the reason professional racing teams spec...
