Vintage Air

Vintage Air A/C & Climate Control Systems

Vintage Air has been the benchmark for aftermarket climate control since 1976 — and for good reason. If you're building a classic car, hot rod, street rod, or muscle car and want modern A/C, heat, and defrost performance without gutting your interior, Vintage Air is the standard the industry measures itself against. This collection carries their full lineup, from compact evaporator units to complete SureFit systems engineered for specific applications.

Modern Comfort. Classic Style.

Vintage Air systems are engineered to deliver factory-level climate performance in vehicles that never had it — or had systems that couldn't keep up. Their units run on modern R-134a refrigerant, integrate with contemporary compressors, and are designed to fit tight engine bays and custom firewalls without major fabrication. Whether you're chasing show points or just want to drive comfortably in July, these systems deliver.

Key performance advantages include high-efficiency evaporator cores for rapid cabin cooling, multi-speed blower motors with quiet operation, and integrated defrost capability that keeps your windshield clear year-round. Every unit is built to OEM-level tolerances with aluminum housings and quality-grade hardware throughout.

Built for Builders

Vintage Air products are designed for the enthusiast who's doing it right. The SureFit series offers vehicle-specific kits with pre-engineered mounting brackets, wiring harnesses, and hose routing — dramatically reducing install time compared to universal systems. The Front Runner and Gen IV lines give custom builders maximum flexibility for tight or unconventional firewall configurations.

These systems are a bolt-in solution for many popular platforms and a straightforward fabrication install for custom builds. Most kits include everything needed for a complete installation: evaporator, compressor, condenser, hoses, fittings, and controls. No hunting for adapters, no guessing on sizing.

Applications

Vintage Air systems are a proven fit across a wide range of classic and custom builds — 1955–1987 GM A/G/F-body cars, early Ford Mustangs and Falcons, classic Mopar platforms, C10 trucks, and full custom street rods. If you're building something that left the factory without A/C — or with a system that belongs in a museum — this is your upgrade path.
