TI22 Performance — Titanium & Aluminum Racing Components for Sprint Cars & Open Wheel Racing

TI22 Performance specializes in high-quality titanium and aluminum racing components engineered specifically for sprint car and open wheel racing applications. In a class of racing where every pound of unsprung and rotating weight directly affects lap times and handling balance, TI22 Performance produces wheels, hubs, and chassis components from materials and to tolerances that meet the demands of professional sprint car competition — where the difference between winning and losing is measured in hundredths of a second and component reliability is non-negotiable.

Sprint Car Wheels

TI22 Performance wheels are manufactured from aerospace-grade aluminum with precision-machined bead seats, spoke profiles, and bolt circle dimensions engineered for the specific load requirements of sprint car racing. Sprint car wheels must withstand the extreme lateral loads of high-speed dirt and asphalt oval racing, the impact loads of rough track surfaces and contact, and the repeated stress cycles of a full racing season without fatigue failure or dimensional distortion that affects tire bead retention and handling consistency.

Wheel widths and offsets are available in the configurations used across the most popular sprint car classes — from 410 Sprint and 360 Sprint through 305 Sprint and micro sprint applications. Correct wheel width and offset selection is critical for correct tire contact patch positioning and correct suspension geometry at the installed wheel and tire combination.

Hubs & Bearing Carriers

TI22 Performance hubs and bearing carriers are machined from billet aluminum and titanium to precise dimensional tolerances that ensure correct bearing fit, correct wheel mounting concentricity, and correct brake rotor alignment. Hub weight is a critical consideration in sprint car racing — unsprung rotating mass at the wheel end directly affects suspension response and the energy required to accelerate and decelerate the wheel assembly through every corner. TI22's lightweight hub designs minimize this mass without compromising the structural integrity required for the load demands of sprint car competition.

Titanium hub components provide the highest strength-to-weight ratio available for hub applications, delivering the load capacity of steel at a fraction of the weight. Aluminum hub designs balance weight reduction with cost for applications where titanium's weight advantage is less critical than its cost premium.

Chassis & Suspension Components

TI22 Performance produces a range of chassis and suspension components for sprint car applications — including titanium fasteners, aluminum chassis tabs and brackets, and specialty hardware used in sprint car construction and setup. Titanium fasteners provide significant weight savings over steel hardware across the hundreds of fastener locations in a sprint car chassis, with tensile strength that meets or exceeds the steel fasteners they replace. Every gram saved in chassis hardware is a gram available for ballast placement to optimize weight distribution.

Common Applications

TI22 Performance products are used across 410 Sprint, 360 Sprint, 305 Sprint, and micro sprint classes on dirt and asphalt oval tracks throughout the country. Professional World of Outlaws and USAC teams use TI22 components alongside regional and local track competitors who demand the same quality hardware at every level of the sport. Component specifications are matched to the rules and requirements of each class to ensure compliance with sanctioning body regulations.

Build Quality & Racing Validation

TI22 Performance components are manufactured to the dimensional tolerances and material specifications required for professional sprint car competition. Wheels are machined and inspected to correct bead seat dimensions and runout tolerances that ensure consistent tire mounting and handling balance. Hub components are machined to correct bearing fit tolerances that prevent premature bearing failure from incorrect preload or misalignment. The quality standard reflects the demands of professional sprint car racing, where component failure ends a race night and potentially ends a season.

Installation Notes

TI22 Performance wheel installations require correct torque on all wheel mounting fasteners — follow the torque specification for the specific hub and fastener combination being used. Titanium fasteners require correct torque values specific to titanium — do not use steel fastener torque specifications for titanium hardware, as titanium's different friction characteristics require different torque values for correct clamp load. Hub installations require correct bearing preload adjustment for the specific bearing and hub combination — incorrect preload causes premature bearing failure and h...
