Stainless Works — Premium Stainless Steel Headers & Exhaust Systems

Stainless Works has been fabricating premium stainless steel exhaust components in Valley City, Ohio since 1993, building a reputation on headers, cat-back systems, and downpipes that combine show-quality construction with genuine performance engineering. Every Stainless Works product is TIG-welded from 304 stainless steel with mandrel-bent tubing, precision-formed collectors, and flanges machined to correct port dimensions — the construction standard that separates a Stainless Works system from mass-produced exhaust components that use the same materials but not the same craftsmanship.

Performance Headers

Stainless Works headers are available in long-tube and shorty configurations for classic muscle car, LS swap, and modern performance vehicle applications. Long-tube headers maximize primary tube length for optimal exhaust scavenging at the RPM range where street and strip engines produce peak torque, delivering the strongest low-to-mid RPM power gains of any header configuration. Primary tube diameter and collector size are application-matched to the engine displacement and power level of each supported platform.

304 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance that mild steel headers cannot match, maintaining appearance and structural integrity over years of heat cycling and road exposure without the rust and scale buildup that degrades mild steel headers. Stainless Works headers are available in natural stainless and ceramic-coated finishes, with the ceramic coating providing additional heat management for surrounding components and a cleaner appearance over the long term.

LS Swap Headers

Stainless Works produces a comprehensive lineup of headers specifically engineered for LS engine swap applications in classic GM, Ford, and custom chassis builds. LS swap headers address the unique packaging challenges of fitting a Gen III or Gen IV GM V8 into a chassis not originally designed for it, with primary tube routing, collector placement, and steering clearance engineered for the most popular swap combinations. Compatible with both stock and aftermarket engine mounts on supported applications, Stainless Works LS swap headers are among the most popular in the industry for their fitment precision and build quality.

Cat-Back Exhaust Systems

Stainless Works cat-back systems replace the factory exhaust from the catalytic converter back with a larger-diameter, mandrel-bent stainless steel system that improves exhaust flow and delivers an aggressive, distinctive exhaust note on modern muscle car and performance vehicle platforms. Muffler designs are selected for each application to deliver the correct sound character — aggressive at wide-open throttle, controlled at cruise — without the drone that makes some performance exhausts unpleasant for daily driving.

Chambered and turbo muffler configurations are available depending on the desired sound level and tone. Stainless Works' resonator delete and resonator-equipped options allow buyers to select the exhaust note character that best fits their driving environment and personal preference.

Downpipes & Midpipes

Stainless Works produces downpipes and midpipes for turbocharged and supercharged performance vehicles where the factory downpipe is a significant flow restriction. High-flow catalytic converter and test pipe options are available depending on the emissions requirements of the application. Correct downpipe diameter and bend geometry are critical for maximizing turbocharger spool response and minimizing exhaust backpressure on forced induction applications.

Common Applications

Stainless Works exhaust products cover classic GM A-body and F-body muscle cars, GM LS and LT swap applications, modern Camaro SS and ZL1, Corvette C5 through C8, Chevrolet Silverado, Ford Mustang GT and GT500, and a range of additional domestic performance platforms. LS swap header coverage is among the most comprehensive in the industry, with fitment options for the most popular swap chassis and engine mount combinations.

USA Manufacturing & Craftsmanship

Every Stainless Works product is designed and fabricated in Valley City, Ohio, with in-house TIG welding, mandrel bending, and quality inspection that ensures consistent construction quality across every unit. The TIG welding standard used on Stainless Works products produces full-penetration welds with consistent bead appearance — the construction quality visible in every collector and tube junction that reflects the craftsmanship standard the brand is built on. Stainless Works products are not mass-produced overseas and finished domestically — they are fabricated in the USA from start to finish.
