Two-row and three-row aluminum core configurations provide significantly greater cooling capacity than the original copper/brass radiators, with aluminum's superior heat transfer properties delivering better thermal performance at equivalent or reduced core thickness.
Inlet and outlet diameters, tank configurations, and filler neck locations are matched to OEM specifications on direct-fit applications, ensuring correct hose fitment and a clean, factory-correct appearance in the engine bay. Griffin radiators are TIG-welded with precision-formed aluminum tanks and pressure-tested before shipment for leak-free operation from installation day forward.
Custom Radiators
Griffin's custom radiator program is one of the most comprehensive in the industry, offering made-to-order aluminum radiators built to customer-specified dimensions, inlet/outlet locations, core thickness, and tank configurations. Build Quality & USA Manufacturing
Every Griffin radiator is designed and manufactured in the USA using domestic aluminum and precision CNC-formed components. Core fin density and tube sizing are application-optimized — not adapted from a universal core spec — ensuring the correct balance of airflow resistance and heat transfer surface area for each vehicle's cooling demand. Robotic and hand TIG welding produces consistent, leak-free joints throughout the radiator assembly. Each unit is pressure-tested and visually inspected before shipment.
Installation Notes
Griffin direct-fit radiators are bolt-in replacements on supported applications using factory mounting hardware. Drain the cooling system completely, remove the OEM radiator, and install the Griffin unit using the existing brackets and hardware. Hose connections use OEM hose sizes on most applications. Refill with the correct coolant mixture, bleed the system thoroughly, and verify there are no leaks before returning the vehicle to service. Electric fan upgrades are recommended for builds with significantly increased heat output over stock to maximize the cooling capacity of the new radiator.
