FST Performance

FST Performance — Carburetors & Fuel System Components for Street & Race

FST Performance builds carburetors and fuel system hardware for builders who want proven performance without the premium price tag of the big-name brands. Engineered for street, strip, and race applications, FST carburetors deliver consistent fuel delivery, straightforward tuning, and durable construction across a wide range of naturally aspirated and lightly boosted V8 applications.

Performance Carburetors

FST's carburetor lineup covers the most popular CFM ranges for street and race use — from 500 CFM street units to 1050 CFM race-spec carbs built for high-displacement, high-RPM combinations. Vacuum secondary and mechanical secondary configurations are available depending on the application and driving style. Vacuum secondary carbs are the correct choice for street-driven vehicles with automatic transmissions and variable load conditions. Mechanical secondary units are preferred for race and performance applications where consistent wide-open-throttle response is the priority.

FST carburetors are built on a Holley-compatible platform, meaning jets, metering blocks, needle and seat assemblies, and accelerator pump components are interchangeable with the most widely available carburetor tuning parts in the industry. That parts compatibility simplifies tuning and eliminates the proprietary component headaches common with less popular carburetor platforms.

Fuel Pressure Regulators

FST fuel pressure regulators are available in bypass and non-bypass configurations for carbureted fuel systems running electric fuel pumps. Proper fuel pressure regulation is critical for consistent carburetor performance — excessive fuel pressure causes flooding and rich conditions, while insufficient pressure starves the float bowls under high-demand conditions. FST regulators are adjustable across the correct pressure range for carbureted applications and include gauge ports for monitoring fuel pressure during tuning.

Fuel System Accessories

FST's fuel system accessory lineup includes fuel filters, fittings, fuel line components, and carburetor rebuild kits. Keeping the fuel system clean and properly maintained is the most cost-effective way to ensure consistent carburetor performance over time. FST rebuild kits include all wear items — needle and seat, accelerator pump diaphragm, gaskets, and O-rings — for a complete carburetor refresh without sourcing individual components.

Common Applications

FST Performance carburetors are compatible with any engine running a standard square-bore or spread-bore intake manifold, covering Small Block and Big Block Chevy, Small Block and Big Block Ford, Chrysler/Mopar V8, and Pontiac applications. CFM selection should be matched to engine displacement, camshaft profile, and intended RPM range — oversized carburetors on street engines reduce throttle response and drivability without adding usable power.

Build Quality & Value

FST carburetors are manufactured with aluminum main bodies, zinc-alloy metering blocks, and stainless steel accelerator pump components. Out-of-the-box calibration is targeted for common street and mild performance applications, with tuning adjustments straightforward for anyone familiar with Holley-style carburetor setup. For builders who want a reliable, tunable carburetor without paying for features they don't need, FST delivers strong value across their lineup.

Installation Notes

FST carburetors install on any standard square-bore four-barrel intake manifold using a standard carburetor gasket and four-bolt pattern. Fuel inlet fittings accept standard AN or NPT fuel line connections. Initial tuning should include float level verification, idle mixture adjustment, and accelerator pump timing before road testing. A wide-band O2 sensor is strongly recommended for dialing in jetting on modified engines.
