Flex-A-Lite

Flex-A-Lite — High-Performance Electric Cooling Fans & Aluminum Radiators

Flex-A-Lite has been engineering cooling solutions for performance and heavy-duty applications since 1957. Their electric fans, fan controllers, and aluminum radiators are built for one purpose — keeping engine temps in check when stock cooling systems can't keep up. Whether you're running a built motor, towing at capacity, sitting in traffic with a supercharged engine, or pushing hard on a road course, Flex-A-Lite has a cooling solution engineered for the thermal load you're actually generating.

Electric Cooling Fans

Flex-A-Lite electric fans are available in pusher and puller configurations across a wide range of blade diameters and CFM ratings to match the radiator size and cooling demand of your specific application. S-blade and straight-blade designs are available depending on whether airflow volume or static pressure is the priority for your installation. Dual-fan kits provide maximum coverage for large-core radiators on high-output engines where a single fan leaves dead spots in airflow coverage.

Flex-A-Lite fans are built with thermally protected motors rated for continuous duty — not just intermittent use. That matters in stop-and-go traffic, towing scenarios, and any situation where the fan runs extended cycles at full load without the airflow relief of highway speeds.

Fan Controllers

Flex-A-Lite's adjustable fan controllers allow precise coolant temperature set points for fan activation and deactivation, eliminating the guesswork of fixed-temp switches. Variable-speed controllers step up for applications where gradual fan ramp-up reduces electrical load spikes and extends motor life. Controllers are compatible with both single and dual fan setups and include override switches for manual activation during towing or high-demand situations.

Aluminum Radiators

Flex-A-Lite aluminum radiators are available in direct-fit and universal configurations for a wide range of domestic V8 and performance applications. Two-row and three-row core designs provide significantly more cooling capacity than OEM copper/brass radiators of the same physical size, with aluminum construction reducing weight and improving heat rejection efficiency. Inlet and outlet configurations are matched to factory hose routing on direct-fit applications for clean, straightforward installations.

Common Applications

Flex-A-Lite cooling products are used across muscle cars, hot rods, restomod builds, tow trucks, diesel performance vehicles, and dedicated track cars. Applications include classic GM A-body and F-body platforms, Ford Mustang and F-Series trucks, Dodge Challenger and Ram, and a wide range of import performance vehicles. Universal fan kits cover custom builds and engine swaps where OEM cooling solutions are no longer applicable.

Build Quality & USA Manufacturing

Flex-A-Lite designs and manufactures their core product lines in the USA, maintaining direct control over motor quality, blade balance, and controller calibration. Fans are balanced at the factory to eliminate vibration at operating speeds, and motors are tested for current draw and airflow output before shipment. Aluminum radiators are TIG-welded with precision-formed tanks and pressure-tested to ensure leak-free operation.

Installation Notes

Electric fan installations require proper sizing of the wiring harness and relay to handle continuous motor current draw — undersized wiring is the most common cause of fan motor failure in aftermarket installations. Flex-A-Lite includes wiring instructions and relay kits with most fan products. Radiator installations are straightforward on direct-fit applications; universal radiators may require minor hose modification or bracket fabrication depending on the chassis.
