Driveline & Drivetrain
Performance Driveline & Drivetrain Components
The drivetrain is where engine power becomes forward motion — and every component between the crankshaft and the pavement has to be up to the task. This collection covers the complete driveline from transmission output to wheel hub: axle shafts, differentials, ring and pinion gears, driveshafts, universal joints, torque converters, flexplates, flywheels, clutch kits, and shifters for performance builds, restorations, and everything in between. We carry drivetrain components from the brands that engine builders and chassis fabricators actually spec when the power level demands it.
Axle Shafts & Differentials
Factory axle shafts and differentials are engineered for stock power levels — and they fail predictably when power increases significantly. Upgraded axle shafts in 4340 chromoly or 300M material provide the torsional strength needed to survive repeated hard launches, high-torque diesel applications, and off-road abuse that destroys OEM shafts. Performance differentials — limited slip, locking, and spool configurations — put power to the ground more effectively than open differentials and survive the load demands of serious performance use.
Ring & Pinion Gears
Gear ratio selection is one of the most impactful drivetrain decisions in any performance build. The correct ring and pinion ratio optimizes acceleration, highway RPM, and towing performance for the specific engine, transmission, and tire combination. We carry ring and pinion sets for the most popular domestic axle housings — Ford 8.8 and 9-inch, GM 10-bolt and 12-bolt, Dana 44 and 60, and AAM — in a full range of ratios from economy-focused highway gears to aggressive short ratios for drag and off-road applications.
Driveshafts & Universal Joints
A driveshaft that's out of balance, incorrectly phased, or undersized for the power level is a vibration source and a failure waiting to happen. We carry aluminum and steel driveshafts in OEM-replacement and performance configurations, along with high-angle and heavy-duty universal joints for lifted trucks, custom chassis, and high-torque applications where factory U-joints aren't adequate. CV driveshafts are available for applications requiring smooth power delivery through extreme operating angles.
Torque Converters & Flexplates
The torque converter is the critical link between the engine and automatic transmission — and the factory converter is rarely optimized for a modified engine's power band. Performance torque converters with higher stall speeds allow the engine to build RPM before the converter locks up, keeping the engine in its power band off the line. We carry converters in a range of stall speeds and configurations for the most popular GM, Ford, and Mopar automatic transmissions, along with matched flexplates in the correct bolt pattern and ring gear tooth count.
Clutch Kits & Flywheels
Manual transmission builds require a clutch system matched to the engine's torque output and the driver's intended use. We carry complete clutch kits — pressure plate, disc, and throwout bearing — from performance brands engineered for street, street/strip, and race applications. Aluminum and steel flywheels are available in the correct bolt pattern and balance specification for each application, with lightweight aluminum options for builds where rotational mass reduction is a priority.
Shifters & Transmission Controls
A quality shifter improves shift feel, reduces throw length, and provides the positive engagement that factory shifters often lack on performance builds. We carry short throw shifters, pistol grip shifters, and floor-mount automatic shifters for the most popular manual and automatic transmission applications, along with transmission crossmembers and mount hardware for custom and swap builds.
Why Ozkonic Kustomz
We source drivetrain components from brands that build for the power levels and use cases that performance builders actually run. Accurate fitment, correct material specifications, and hardware that survives what you put it through. Build the drivetrain to match the engine.
