Patented Centrifugal Weight Technology

Centerforce's centrifugal weight system is what separates their clutches from conventional performance pressure plates. Precision-machined weights are mounted on the pressure plate fingers and calibrated to the specific application. As engine RPM increases, centrifugal force causes the weights to pivot outward, adding clamping load to the pressure plate at exactly the moment it's needed most — under hard acceleration at high RPM.

The result is a clutch that feels light and manageable at low speeds and in traffic, but delivers significantly increased clamping force when you're on the throttle and the engine is pulling hard. It's the performance clutch solution that doesn't punish you for driving the car on the street every day.

Centerforce I & II Series

Centerforce offers their centrifugal weight technology in two series to match the application. The Centerforce I series is engineered for street performance builds with moderate power increases — a direct upgrade from the factory clutch that delivers improved holding capacity and engagement feel without changing the driving character of the vehicle. The Centerforce II series steps up the clamping force for higher-output builds, incorporating a larger diameter friction disc and more aggressive weight calibration for applications making serious power.

DYAD & Dual Friction Series

For builds that push beyond what a conventional organic friction disc can handle, Centerforce's DYAD and Dual Friction series incorporate a dual-material friction disc — organic on one side for smooth street engagement, metallic on the other for high-heat, high-load holding capacity. The result is a clutch that engages cleanly from a stop, holds under sustained high-load operation, and resists fade during repeated hard launches or track use.

Flywheels

Centerforce's steel and aluminum flywheels are precision-machined and balanced to complement their clutch systems. Aluminum flywheels reduce rotational mass for quicker engine response and faster rev changes — a meaningful improvement on performance builds where throttle response and rev matching are priorities. Steel flywheels provide the thermal mass and durability required for high-torque applications and frequent clutch engagement.
