Air Ride Suspension Systems

Ridetech air ride systems replace the factory spring and shock combination with air springs and matched shock absorbers that allow ride height adjustment from the driver's seat — from slammed show stance to full driving height — at the touch of a button. The HQ series air management system provides precise, repeatable height control with a digital controller, onboard compressor, and air tank sized for the specific system requirements of each platform.

Air ride is the correct choice for builds where adjustable stance is a priority — show cars that need to sit on the ground for display and rise to driving height for transport, daily drivers that want the ability to clear speed bumps and steep driveways, and custom builds where the finished ride height is part of the visual design of the vehicle. Ridetech's air spring and shock combinations are valved for correct ride quality at driving height, not just correct appearance at show height.

Coilover Suspension Systems

Ridetech coilover systems provide a fixed-height, performance-oriented suspension upgrade for builds where adjustable stance is less important than handling precision and ride quality improvement. Coilover kits include matched springs and shocks with ride height adjustment through threaded spring perches, allowing the builder to set the correct ride height during installation and fine-tune corner weights for optimal handling balance.

Single and double-adjustable shock options are available depending on the application and the level of damping tuning required. Ridetech's triple-adjustable shocks provide independent control of low-speed compression, high-speed compression, and rebound damping — the most precise suspension tuning capability available for builds targeting serious road course or autocross performance.

Tubular Control Arms & Subframes

Ridetech produces tubular control arms and complete front subframe assemblies for classic GM A-body, F-body, and full-size platforms that correct the geometry limitations of the factory suspension design. Tubular upper and lower control arms reduce unsprung weight, improve camber curve, and provide correct mounting geometry for Ridetech's coilover and air spring units. Complete bolt-in subframe assemblies replace the entire factory front suspension with a modern geometry design that dramatically improves handling response and steering feel on classic platforms.

Ridetech suspension systems are engineered for the most popular classic American muscle car and truck platforms — including 1964–1972 GM A-body (Chevelle, El Camino, Skylark, Cutlass), 1967–1969 Camaro and Firebird, 1955–1957 Chevrolet Tri-Five, 1958–1964 full-size Chevrolet and Impala, 1960–1987 C10 and C/K truck, and 1979–1993 Fox Body Mustang. Application-specific engineering ensures correct geometry, correct ride height range, and correct component clearance for each platform without custom fabrication.

Build Quality & Engineering

Ridetech systems are designed and manufactured in Jasper, Indiana, with in-house engineering, CNC machining, and quality control that ensures consistent dimensional accuracy and material quality across every component. Shocks are valved in-house for each specific application, and air springs are matched to the vehicle weight and desired ride characteristics of each platform. The complete-system approach means every component is engineered to work with every other component — eliminating the compatibility and geometry issues that arise when mixing components from different manufacturers.

Installation Notes

Ridetech system installations require removal of the factory suspension components and installation of the Ridetech control arms, springs, and shocks using the provided hardware and instructions. Air ride installations additionally require routing of air lines from the management system to each corner, mounting the compressor and air tank, and wiring the controller and compressor to the vehicle's electrical system.
